Your ADHD Assessment Pathway

09/11/2025

At GlanMind, we believe clarity comes from structure. Here's what your assessment journey typically looks like:

Step 1: Initial Psychology Consultation

A one-hour appointment with our psychologist to explore your history, symptoms, and everyday challenges. This session also helps determine whether ADHD assessment through GlanMind is suitable for you.

Step 2: Cognitive & Attention Testing

Where appropriate, you may be invited to complete a QbTest or other evidence-based assessments. These provide objective insights into attention, impulsivity, and activity levels, complementing the information gathered in your interview.

  • What to expect: Simple, non-invasive computer-based tasks, sometimes with a motion sensor to track activity.

  • Duration: Typically 30–45 minutes.

  • Purpose: Helps create a complete picture of how ADHD may be affecting your daily life, increasing diagnostic accuracy.

  • Confidentiality: Results are securely stored and shared only with your GP and psychologist to guide your care plan.

Step 3: Collaborative Review with GP & Psychologist

On a separate date, you'll meet with both our GP and psychologist (around 30 minutes) to review findings, discuss diagnostic impressions, and consider next steps. This may include treatment options such as therapy, lifestyle strategies, medication management, or referral to a psychiatrist if warranted.

Step 4: Personalised Care Plan

If a diagnosis is confirmed, we create a tailored care plan designed around your unique needs. This could involve psychological therapy, medication, lifestyle guidance, or specialist referrals.

Step 5: Ongoing Support & Follow-Up

We continue to support you beyond diagnosis, with regular reviews, progress monitoring, and adjustments to your care plan as needed.
